ABOUT THE FOUNDER

 

Shavet traces its beginnings to Tanisha’s earliest memories of watching her father dress in white every single day. A social activist, he chose white for its calm, its purity, and its ability to belong everywhere, in moments of service, in spaces of dialogue, and in the simplest rhythms of daily life. To Tanisha, this constant presence of white became more than a colour; it became a feeling that shaped her sense of beauty, clarity, and purpose. Inspired by her quiet love for minimalism and the calm confidence she observed in her father throughout her childhood, She dreamed of a label where white could express both softness and strength. This vision eventually inspired her to create Shavet in 2025, giving white a renewed sense of serenity, meaning, and personal connection for the wearer.

Her passion for clothing and aesthetics led her to study fashion designing in New Delhi, where her creative identity truly took shape. During her time in design college, she found herself drawn to the harmony between Indian traditional crafts and modern, minimalistic chic silhouettes. This blend of heritage and simplicity became the foundation of her design ethos, influencing the quiet elegance she would later bring into Shavet.
